A striking expression of Rolexs opulent design language, this Day-Date Ref. 18038 pairs the technical mastery of the Presidents Watch with the glamour of a fully pave diamond dial, accented by sapphire hour markers at 6 and 9 oclock. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the watch exudes both prestige and precision a hallmark of the model that defined luxury wristwear in the late 1970s and 1980s. This example, with a 9.36 million serial number, dates to approximately 1986, placing it squarely within an era when Rolex began offering lavish gem-set configurations to their most exclusive clientele. The case remains exceptionally sharp and full, retaining its original proportions and crisp edges. The diamonds on the dial are perfectly set, creating a rich texture of light across its surface, while the sapphire markers provide an elegant contrast and subtle touch of color. Accompanied by a Rolex service paper, this Day-Date reflects both its enduring quality and the brands commitment to longevity. The automatic Caliber 3055 movement, with quickset date function, underscores the references technical refinement beneath its jeweled surface. A rare and dazzling interpretation of Rolexs most iconic design, this Ref. 18038 offers not only impeccable craftsmanship and strong condition but also the unmistakable aura of a golden-age Day-Date where precision met pure luxury.
