The reference 6239 is the watch that began the legend of the Daytona, and few examples capture its magic as completely as a steel Paul Newman with a cream dial. Produced around 1967, this example features the same dial configuration made famous by Paul Newman himselfan unmistakable mix of art-deco numerals, crisp contrasting registers, and a warm cream background that has become one of the most coveted designs in vintage watch collecting. With its pump pushers, engraved steel bezel, and beautifully balanced 37mm case, the 6239 remains the purest expression of the manually wound Daytona era.
This 6239 is presented in excellent, collector-grade condition. The stainless-steel case retains its original proportions with thick, even lugs and crisp edges, showing only light wear consistent with careful use. The desirable cream Paul Newman dial is completely original and exceptionally clean, with strong color, intact luminous plots, and beautifully preserved black sub-registers. The bezel engraving remains sharp, the pump pushers are correct for the era, and the bracelet is tight and well preserved. Altogether, this watch represents a superb, honest example of one of the most historically important Rolex chronographs ever producedan icon of both design and provenance, offered here in outstanding shape.

When a watch is purchased, our watchmaker will perform a thorough inspection of the movement and perform a number of tests to ensure the watch is functioning in top condition before shipping. This process can take 7-10 business days.
Once your watch is ready, watches shipped within the United States are sent via insured FedEx Overnight and will arrive the next day. We will send over tracking information once the watch ships.
International shipping can take a number of days considering customs and travel. Straps made from exotic materials banned for import will be removed from the watch prior to shipping.
We know it can be difficult be completely certainly that a watch's condition, size or shape is what you are looking for.
We provide a 5 day inspection period from delivery so that you may receive the watch and decide if it is right for you.
This is not a trial period; our watches are well documented and any wear or damage will be deducted from the return amount.
The Keystone offers a one-year warranty covering all mechanical aspects of the watch. This includes abnormal time keeping relative to the watches age, battery replacements and general mechanical issues inside the watch. Many of the watches we sell are vintage and thus may gain or lose more time than modern specifications. We reserve the right to use our discretion and experience to determine acceptable time keeping for vintage watches.
