The Rolex Batman GMT-Master, ref. 116710 was first released in 2013 and debuted a new black and blue ceramic bezel. This was not Rolexs first ceramic bezel; the material is ideal for bezels for its scratch and fade resistant qualities. However, for some time Rolex could not color the ceramic material, which left all of the ceramic bezels up to 2013 black. With the 116710BLNR (BLNR - Bleu and Noir), Rolex introduced its first bi-color ceramic bezel.
