Manufactured in 1944, this Patek Philippe reference 1589 is a particularly charming expression of the manufactures mid-century design, distinguished by its warm dore dial and elegant, elongated lugs. Its restrained proportions and sculptural casework reflect a period when Patek Philippe brought considerable individuality to even its simplest time-only watches.
The dial has developed a rich golden patina, with subtle variations in tone and visible signs of age lending it considerable character. Applied Roman numerals at three, nine and twelve are complemented by small square hour markers, slender gold hands and a finely detailed subsidiary seconds register at six oclock. The overall composition is understated, allowing the unusual warmth of the dial to remain the focal point.
The yellow-gold case is distinguished by its long, gracefully tapered lugs, which lend the watch an elegant profile on the wrist. Particularly interesting are the Portuguese hallmarks found on the case, an uncommon detail that speaks to the watchs historical journey and its presence in the Portuguese market.

Once your watch is ready, watches shipped within the United States are sent via insured FedEx Overnight and will arrive the next day. We will send over tracking information once the watch ships.
International shipping can take a number of days considering customs and travel. Straps made from exotic materials banned for import will be removed from the watch prior to shipping.
We know it can be difficult be completely certainly that a watch's condition, size or shape is what you are looking for.
We provide a 5 day inspection period from delivery so that you may receive the watch and decide if it is right for you.
This is not a trial period; our watches are well documented and any wear or damage will be deducted from the return amount.

This includes abnormal time keeping relative to the watches age, battery replacements and general mechanical issues inside the watch. Many of the watches we sell are vintage and thus may gain or lose more time than modern specifications.
