There is a particular magic to early wristwatches from Patek Philippean era when the maison was still defining what a wrist-worn timepiece could be. This 1913 Patek Philippe Gondolo captures that moment with remarkable clarity: a rectangular, 18k yellow-gold wristwatch with expressive radium-painted Dauphine-style numerals and blued steel hands, embracing the emerging Art Deco language well before the style would take hold across design and architecture.
The Gondolo name traces back to Pateks legendary partnership with Gondolo & Labouriau, the Rio de Janeiro retailer whose high-stakes Gondolo Club made Patek Philippe synonymous with avant-garde elegance in the early 20th century. Though most think of pocket chronometers when they hear Gondolo, the spirit of that collaborationbold geometry, refined movements, and a certain cosmopolitan glamourlives on in these early shaped wristwatches.
This example was manufactured in 1913 and sold on November 4th, 1919 through The Grogan Company of Pittsburgh, a respected American jeweler whose clientele helped introduce Patek Philippe to the United States. Remarkably well-preserved, the watch presents with its original gilded dial, richly aged with a warm sepia tone, and strong case lines that maintain the sculptural form of the rectangular case. Inside beats the 12 lever movement, noted by Patek Philippe for its precision during a period of horological transition from pocket to wrist.

International shipping can take a number of days considering customs and travel. Straps made from exotic materials banned for import will be removed from the watch prior to shipping.

We provide a 5 day inspection period from delivery so that you may receive the watch and decide if it is right for you.
This is not a trial period; our watches are well documented and any wear or damage will be deducted from the return amount.
