This vintage Pendulette Dome Musique is a superb example of Patek Philippes iconic solar-powered dome clocksrare objects that combine advanced horology with one-of-a-kind enamel artistry. Created in the 1970s, the clock showcases the maisons pursuit of technical innovation alongside the finest decorative craftsmanship of the 20th century.
The case is entirely hand-decorated in Grand Feu cloisonne enamel by renowned Patek Philippe enameller Marie Francoise Martin, whose initials appear discreetly on the main panel. Rich red translucent enamel serves as the backdrop for exquisite vignettes of musical instruments and flowers, with the musical theme extending onto the dome through a rendered score, quill, and symbolic apple. Formed from meters of gold wire and fired eight to nine times at ~850C for each color element, the curved panels represent one of the most technically demanding surfaces in cloisonne work.
Introduced in 1955, Patek Philippes dome clocks are produced only in extremely small numbers, each decorated as a unique artwork. Early examplesincluding this generationused a patented solar-powered system that charges a storage device to drive the movement, allowing continuous operation even without light. Their limited production reflects the rarity of artisans capable of working cloisonne on a curved dome and side panelseach clock can take nearly a year to complete.

When a watch is purchased, our watchmaker will perform a thorough inspection of the movement and perform a number of tests to ensure the watch is functioning in top condition before shipping. This process can take 7-10 business days.
Once your watch is ready, watches shipped within the United States are sent via insured FedEx Overnight and will arrive the next day. We will send over tracking information once the watch ships.
International shipping can take a number of days considering customs and travel. Straps made from exotic materials banned for import will be removed from the watch prior to shipping.

We provide a 5 day inspection period from delivery so that you may receive the watch and decide if it is right for you.
This is not a trial period; our watches are well documented and any wear or damage will be deducted from the return amount.
