Few vintage Patek Philippe watches strike the perfect balance between elegance, rarity, and provenance quite like this Ref. 565 in rose gold, retailed by Hausmann & Co. in Rome and accompanied by its original Certificate of Origin dated 1953. The Reference 565, introduced in 1938, is a cornerstone of mid-century Patek Philippe design celebrated for its robust water-resistant case and timeless aesthetic. While the model was produced in yellow gold, stainless steel, and a very limited number in rose gold, examples retailed by distinguished houses such as Hausmann & Co. remain particularly desirable. This example is fitted with a beautiful two-tone dial featuring applied Arabic numerals and a small seconds subdial at six oclock. The dial surface presents wonderfully even aging, enhancing its vintage character, while the case retains its full geometry and deep, legible hallmarks. It has been expertly restored and polished by a previous owner, preserving the crispness of its lugs and bezel. The presence of the original 1953 certificate an exceptionally rare survival for a vintage Patek underscores the watchs outstanding provenance and historical importance. Elegant yet utilitarian, this rose gold Ref. 565 represents the best of Patek Philippes postwar production: a watch that merges classic design, distinguished retail history, and documented authenticity into one superb and collectible example.
