Franck Mullers earliest complicated watches occupy a particularly interesting place in modern independent watchmaking. Before the brand became synonymous with its more exuberant designs, Muller established his reputation as the Master of Complications, producing remarkably ambitious watches in comparatively classical forms. This platinum example, measuring 38mm, belongs firmly to that tradition: rare, mechanically dense, and unusually restrained in appearance.
At its heart is a perpetual calendar, a complication designed to mechanically account for months of differing lengths and leap years, allowing the calendar indications to advance correctly without manual adjustment under normal operation. Here, that already formidable mechanism is combined with a chronograph and retrograde calendar indications, while the reverse incorporates a tachymeter scale for calculating speed over a known distance. It is precisely this layering of complications that defined Mullers most ambitious work.
The complexity is balanced by some exceptionally classical details. Slender Breguet-style hands soften the technical character of the black dial, while the substantial articulated lugs move independently against the wrist, giving the otherwise weighty platinum case an unusual degree of presence and flexibility.
Taken as a whole, this is an unusually compelling complicated Franck Muller wristwatch: a platinum watch whose rarity lies not simply in its material, but in the sheer concentration of traditional complications, distinctive case construction, and hand-finished classical details.

When a watch is purchased, our watchmaker will perform a thorough inspection of the movement and perform a number of tests to ensure the watch is functioning in top condition before shipping. This process can take 7-10 business days.
Once your watch is ready, watches shipped within the United States are sent via insured FedEx Overnight and will arrive the next day. We will send over tracking information once the watch ships.
International shipping can take a number of days considering customs and travel. Straps made from exotic materials banned for import will be removed from the watch prior to shipping.
We know it can be difficult be completely certainly that a watch's condition, size or shape is what you are looking for.
We provide a 5 day inspection period from delivery so that you may receive the watch and decide if it is right for you.
This is not a trial period; our watches are well documented and any wear or damage will be deducted from the return amount.
The Keystone offers a one-year warranty covering all mechanical aspects of the watch. This includes abnormal time keeping relative to the watches age, battery replacements and general mechanical issues inside the watch. Many of the watches we sell are vintage and thus may gain or lose more time than modern specifications. We reserve the right to use our discretion and experience to determine acceptable time keeping for vintage watches.
