FAQs | The Keystone Watches
How can I be sure these items are authentic and genuine?
Our watches go through a rigorous authentication process in which seasoned experts examine and evaluate the watches. These experts have decades of experience and have authenticated many thousands of watches in their lifetime. We guarantee every piece of the watches we offer are 100% authentic.
Do items come with original box and papers?
Each of our watches has had it's own journey through it's lifetime; often along that journey the watch is displaced from it's original box and papers. Many of us dispose of the box and printed material that comes with our iPhones and other products, the same has happened with watch owners in the past. There is little significance to original box and papers, the Rolex warranty is void once it leaves the original owner and the box is simply packaging.
In some cases, especially with our highest end watches, the watches do come with original box and papers. If the original box and papers are included with a particular watch, we will note that on the product page.
When will I receive my watch?
We try and ship pieces within a week of your purchase. We always ship insured FedEx overnight. Prior to shipping the watch, we typically have our watchmaker check timing and fully inspect the watch to insure it is running in top condition. If you are on a time crunch, please email us prior to purchase to confirm we can deliver on time. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I make an offer on a watch if I want a better price?
In many cases buying watches can be a long, drawn out process of haggling and working people down on prices, leaving customers unsure if they got a great deal or ripped off. That is not beneficial for either the buyer or the seller. At The Keystone we work hard to list our best possible price for customers in an effort to expedite the process for both parties and hopefully leave the customer with a more enjoyable experience. We are not currently entertaining offers on watches at The Keystone.
Do you provide a warranty on your watches?
We provide a 1 year warranty on all of our watches, covering all mechanical aspects of the watch. This covers abnormal timekeeping, battery replacement and general mechanical issues inside the watch. This warranty does not cover the exterior of the watch including the crystal, case, bracelets, bezel, straps, crown, etc. It also does not cover wear and tear or water damage.
If I have an mechanical issue with my watch, how can I resolve it?
If you have any mechanical issues with your watch and it requires service, please send it back to us and we will take care of the rest. The best way to coordinate this is to contact us at email@example.com.
Why are there two items that look very similar but are priced differently?
With vintage watches, a single letter on the dial, color of text or style of markers can make a huge difference in price. To many, two watches may look exactly the same; but if you look closer, one may include something rare and unique. This makes the price very different. To some educated collectors, these rare pieces are worth the extra money to others it might not be. We recommend you shop around and go with the watch that makes the most sense for you.
